Introduction: Begin with the question, “Where does the chocolate bar you’re eating come from?” Students recall prior knowledge of raw materials and trace the journey to the finished product. Explain that today they will explore the four economic sectors that make this journey possible and set the success criteria: they will be able to name each sector, give examples of businesses, and describe how the sectors link together. |
Lesson Structure:

Conclusion: Summarise how each sector adds value and relies on the previous one, reinforcing the flow‑chart created earlier. Students complete an exit ticket summarising one example that illustrates the full sector chain. Assign homework: research a local business and classify its activities across the four sectors. |
