Countries, nationalities and languages
Cambridge IGCSE Mandarin Chinese 0547 – The International World 🌍
Objective: Countries, Nationalities, and Languages
In this unit we explore how people identify themselves and how they communicate across borders. We’ll learn key vocabulary, practice describing where people come from, and understand the role of language in connecting cultures.
Analogy: The World as a Giant Family Reunion
Imagine the globe as a huge family gathering. Each country is a family branch, each nationality is a family member, and languages are the different ways they talk to each other. Just like family members might share a common language but also have unique dialects, people from the same country can speak several languages.
